FAQs
How often do I need a well-woman exam?
We recommend a well-woman exam annually for most women. This allows for regular screenings and a consistent relationship with your doctor.
At what age should I start getting Pap smears?
Current guidelines recommend starting Pap smears at age 21. Dr. Ibrahim will discuss the appropriate screening interval for you based on your age and health history.
Do you provide obstetric care (pregnancy care)?
As a family medicine practice, we provide pre-conception counseling and can diagnose pregnancy. However, for ongoing prenatal care and delivery, we will refer you to a trusted obstetrician (OB/GYN).
Can you be my primary care provider (PCP) in addition to providing women's health services?
Yes, absolutely. Dr. Ibrahim is a family medicine physician and can serve as your PCP, managing all aspects of your health in a coordinated way.
What if I have a problem that requires a specialist?
If you have a condition that requires the care of a specialist, such as an OB/GYN or a breast surgeon, Dr. Ibrahim will provide a referral and coordinate your care with them.
