PERSONALIZED, UNHURRIED CARE
Our Wart Removal Treatments
We use proven methods to effectively treat and remove warts.
Cryotherapy
This is the most common treatment. We apply liquid nitrogen to the wart, which freezes and destroys the affected skin cells. The wart typically falls off after a week or two. Multiple treatments may be needed.
Topical Treatments
For some warts, we may recommend or prescribe stronger, prescription-strength topical treatments containing salicylic acid to be applied at home.
What to Expect from Treatment
Cryotherapy can cause a stinging or burning sensation that lasts for a few minutes. After treatment, a blister may form, which will then scab over and fall off. It is important not to pick at the scab. For stubborn warts, several treatments spaced a few weeks apart may be necessary to completely remove the wart and prevent it from returning.

What causes warts?
Warts are caused by a virus called the human papillomavirus (HPV). The virus can enter the body through tiny cuts or breaks in the skin.
Are warts contagious?
Yes, warts are contagious. They can be spread to other parts of your own body or to other people through direct contact or by touching surfaces that have been in contact with a wart.
Why didn't my over-the-counter treatment work?
Over-the-counter treatments are less potent than the cryotherapy and prescription-strength medications used by a doctor. For stubborn warts, professional treatment is often necessary.
How many treatments will I need?
This depends on the size and type of the wart. Many common warts respond well to 1-3 treatments, but some stubborn warts may require more.
