The Art of Facial
Rejuvenation
As we age, our faces naturally lose subcutaneous fat, leading to a loss of volume, sagging skin, and more prominent wrinkles. Dermal fillers are gel-like substances, most commonly made of hyaluronic acid, that are injected beneath the skin to restore lost volume, smooth lines, and enhance facial contours. Dr. Magued Ibrahim uses a skillful and artistic approach to give our patients in Lake Mary and DeBary a natural, refreshed look.

The Dermal Filler Procedure: What to Expect
Your dermal filler appointment is a comfortable and relatively quick process.
1. Consultation & Numbing: Dr. Ibrahim will confirm the treatment plan. A topical numbing cream is applied to the treatment area to ensure your comfort.
2. Injection: Using a fine needle or a cannula, Dr. Ibrahim will strategically inject the filler into the targeted areas.
3. Aftercare: You will see the results immediately. Some temporary swelling or bruising is common. We advise avoiding strenuous exercise for 24 hours.

Our team is happy to help. Reach out by phone or message and we’ll get back to you promptly.
What is hyaluronic acid?
Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a naturally occurring substance in the skin that helps keep it hydrated and volumized. The HA used in fillers is a synthetic, biodegradable version.
How long do dermal fillers last?
The longevity of fillers depends on the type of filler used and the area treated. Results can last anywhere from 6 months to over a year.
Do filler injections hurt?
We take steps to ensure your comfort, including applying a topical numbing cream. Most fillers also contain a small amount of lidocaine to further minimize discomfort.
What are the side effects?
The most common side effects are temporary and include swelling, redness, and bruising at the injection site. These typically resolve within a week.
How is this different from Botox?
Fillers add volume to fill in wrinkles that are present when your face is at rest. Botox relaxes muscles to treat wrinkles that are caused by facial movements.
